Pubs Code 2016, which was introduced in July 2016, applies to Ei Group and all its leased and tenanted publicans as we are the landlord of more than 500 tied pubs.
The regulations which can be found here, define our obligations to our tied publicans and provide guidelines for processes governed by the Code. You will find documents on our website which provide the information we are required to provide to you under the Code, such as types of agreements, repairing obligations, the support provided by Ei Group and much more.
As the Code is complex and timings are critical, the Pubs Code
Adjudicator, (PCA), has issued a number of fact sheets and flow charts on his
website to provide guidance, which can be accessed here. You will also find contact details including a phone number, address and on-line enquiry form. The PCA’s role is to oversee the operation of the Pubs Code, arbitrate disputes and investigate alleged breaches. Guidance is also available on the BII website which can be found here.
To ensure you understand the Code and are fully prepared it is important to take independent advice throughout your relationship with us. This should include accounting, legal and property services, plus any others where you feel you need additional understanding and support.
If you have any Pubs Code specific questions or concerns, you can contact the Compliance Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org or write to The Compliance Officer, Ei Group, 3 Monkspath Hall Road, Solihull B90 4SJ.
