COVID-19 – Our Support

Since our pubs closed their doors on March 20, we have remained fully committed to supporting our publicans during these unprecedented times.

We immediately implemented the following:
  • Deferral of rent and ancillary charges until further notice
  • Suspended the collection of all outstanding debt and associated charges
  • Confirmation that unbroached keg lagers, keg bitters, keg stout and cask ale invoiced and received via Ei Publican Partnerships would be automatically replaced with fresh stock when pubs are permitted to reopen at no additional cost to our publicans.
  • Provided guidance on how to temporarily close their pub/s and how to obtain Government grants to assist with fixed costs such as rent and other financial assistance.
  • Set up dedicated Coronavirus pages on our Publican Channel with advice and guidance for our publicans here. (log in required)

These support policies were focused on alleviating financial pressures during lockdown in order that our publicans can emerge from this crisis as fully prepared as possible and ready to re-commence trading. 

We have now gone one step further and introduced a range of additional support packages which relates to the three-month period from April to June 2020. These can be viewed here.

We have also confirmed that the price rises due from 18th May on tied products delivered to pubs have been postponed until further notice. 

At the same time, it is heartening to see some of our pubs still going that extra mile; from foodbanks, to takeaway and delivery services, as well as providing comfort to those most in need. Take a look for yourself here.
